About Me
 Hello.
I'm Mhairi Gordon-Preston. I was a designer for 10 years, creating work
for blue chips, charities and small-medium businesses. I've now been
running businesses for 10 years, so I combined my creative and business
knowledge into business help for designers and other creative people.
I
know the frustrations that can come with growing or starting a creative
business, or going freelance, but I also know the income & the
freedom that can come from pulling out all the stops in my own business.
I've been through the stages of not knowing what to do, of thinking I
had to cold-call to find design clients, and of feeling anxious about
marketing or having to makes sales. In fact, I sometimes still go
through that last one! In my life, I've survived & eventually
thrived through many challenging situations, including business
ups'n'downs, redundancy, bereavement, and relocation.
As well as my life experience, I have relevant qualifications,
including Diplomas in Coaching & in NLP, plus a BA (Hons) in
Graphic Design.
As well as enjoying supporting other business-owners, I'm passionate
about the planet we live on, so my carbon footprint is kept low by
using renewable energy; having insulated premises; being vegetarian;
and travelling by bicycle & public transport.
